Plastic carrier can be recyclable

Think of a plastic carrier and your thoughts naturally go to the free plastic bags that are available in supermarkets. But now there are some paid-for carriers available with different designs and logos to promote not only the supermarket that supplied it but to advertise their products. There are different types of plastic carrier including carriers that keep your newly purchased clothes clean and tidy. Whenever I go shopping I make sure that I have a good supply of these plastic carriers as they are recyclable and can be used again and again for your weekly shop. Its a great way to reduce your carbon footprint.

Why Avoid Using Plastic Bags?

Statistics suggest that UK households use as many as 400 plastic bags per year. This equates to over 9 billion a year overall.

The problem with plastic bags is that they dont biodegrade. This means most end up in landfill sites. They can also give off damaging emissions. Bags that dont go to landfill can be unsightly and create litter.

Another problem with carriers is that they can damage wildlife. They can end up strangling or suffocating animals, especially birds. Some wildlife also eat the bags, causing internal damage or choking.

There have even been some reports of discarded bags blowing onto car windscreens, causing accidents due to lack of visibility.

Greener homes from a new house builder

News items about the environment are common these days, and it seems every night the TV news has a story about green issues. Older homes aren’t particularly kind to the planet, but every new house builder knows there are a range of innovations which can be included in their design.
They include solar panels, which are usually installed on the roof, and which can harness the sun’s rays. Wind turbines can also convert a natural resource into usable electricity. Both of these are, of course, utilising a completely renewable form of energy. In the long run, they will make a big difference.

The benefits of a hybrid mail system

My company have spent a lot of time recently looking at ways to improve their environmental record. Like a lot of businesses in the past, they haven’t taken green issues as seriously as they should have. They’re determined to make amends for that now, and I have been asked to head a committee to look into it.
A hybrid mail system was the first recommendation we made, and they’ve already initiated one. By using this new arrangement, they are reducing their carbon footprint significantly, and they are saving a large sum of money as well, so they’re very pleased.

Green issues are new in holes all over the country

We’ve all become increasingly aware of the need to be more environmentally friendly in the last decade, especially because the planet’s resources are dwindling every year. In the construction industry, utilising renewable energy is a wonderful way to combine helping the Earth and saving money.
Solar panels are new in homes all over the UK, and enable the owner to harness the power of the sun. There are other alternatives available, too, including wind turbines which can be fitted to the roof. They are particularly effective if they’re placed on properties that are open to the elements.

Brand new homes are greener

Older properties are fine for many people, but it has to be said that the vast majority of them are not particularly green. We all have a responsibility to the environment these days, and builders and developers have taken this on board. brand new homes incorporate many features in their design which help the planet.
Solar panels are a common sight now, harnessing the sun’s rays every day, even when it’s cloudy. Low-flush toilets and economy showers help to keep water consumption to a minimum, and energy-saving light bulbs make a significant difference to electricity usage.

Get rid of flies with ease

If you care at all about the home environment, it’s imperative that you get rid of flies as soon as possible. They’re extremely unhygienic and carry a range of unpleasant and dangerous diseases. Thankfully, you won’t have to spend large amounts of energy or money to eradicate the problem.

An aerosol fly spray is highly efficient, and kills flies within seconds. A quick spray into a room is all it takes, although you should take care not to do so with uncovered food located nearby. You should also make sure young children and pets are kept clear.
