Fixed plans ending for gas and electricity?

Because millions of people chose fixed plans in 2008, when energy prices were anticipated to rise sharply over the following months, those deals will now be coming to an end.

So what can you do if your deal is finishing soon? The first stage is to wait until your gas and electricity suppliers contact you, letting you know that the fixed term is coming to an end.

You can then look at other options from all suppliers, and may be able to find a cheaper deal to switch to. However, if they don’t get in touch, make sure you contact them to avoid a nasty rise in your bills.
